  1. I was wondering if your company ever considers original material for work-shop or full productions?

I am very interested in submitting a copy of my latest script, 43rd Street. As you can probably guess by the title, it’s a musical parody that pays homage to many famous Broadway and Hollywood musicals. In addition, it pokes fun at the persona of screen legend Joan Crawford. Featuring singing, dancing, camp humor and men in drag, 43rd Street is the ultimate backstage musical.

43rd Street receive a staged reading here in Chicago and it went very well. The script was described as a strange mix of Carol Burnett and John Waters.

If you would be interested in receiving a script or score, I would be happy to send one. In addition, if you are interested in looking at sample pages or hearing rough demo recordings of the songs, please visit my private webpage at

Thanks for your consideration and I hope to hear from you in the near future.

    Sincerely,

    Mark A. Ridge

  2. Hello –

I saw your performance of Into The Woods last year and thought it was phenomenal! I used to be in Muse Machine summer shows and noticed some familiar names. I realize that I missed the 2016-2017 auditions but would love to get involved and see what Dare 2 Defy is all about.

I also saw that the Guys and Dolls dance audition is at a later date. Did I miss this and if not, how advanced would the dancing be? I’m now 27 and a little rusty.

Perhaps I could be useful in another realm of the production. I am a full-time copywriter so maybe in Marketing, PR, etc. I can sew but I get bored of it easily, but if you need help, I just miss being near the stage!

    Just let me know, thanks!

I graduated from Wright State University with a BFA in Dance in 2015 and am excited to be moving back to the Dayton area with my husband after the first of the year. 1. Kathleen,

We have already done our dance auditions but we had one of our dancers move to NYC. When you get to town, please, send me an e-mail at info@d2defy.com and we can do a quick dance call with the choreographer. I look forward to meeting you.
